Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless beef chuck roast, sliced into thin strips
- 1 cup beef consomme
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup brow sugar or honey
- 1 TBSP sesame oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 TBSP cornstarch
- fresh broccoli florets (as many as desired)
- hot cooked rice
Directions:
- Place beef in crock-pot
- In a small bowl, combine consomme, soy sauce, brown sugar/honey, sesame oil, and garlic. Pour over been. Cook on low for 6-8 hours
- In a cup, stir cornstarch and 2 TBSP sauce from the crock-pot until smooth. Add back to crock-pot and stir well to combine.
- Add broccoli to the crock-pot. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook an additional 30 minutes on high
- Serve over hot cooked rice.
Notes: The sauce didn't thicken very well for me, but still tasted great. I also added bok choy when adding the broccoli.
